The Shimoyama Vanguard Clay Pot is an authentic Japanese donabe handcrafted using traditional Bankoyaki earthenware techniques, renowned across Japan for producing high quality, durable ceramics. With a 2200ml capacity it comfortably serves 3 to 4 people, making it a natural centrepiece for communal dining. Thick clay walls retain and distribute heat evenly, keeping food warm long after it leaves the stove. Perfect for hot pots, stews, soups and rice. Available in white and black.

Use & Care

Compatible with gas stoves and ovens. Not suitable for electric, ceramic or induction hobs unless stated. Hand wash recommended to preserve the clay and glaze. Avoid sudden temperature changes to prevent cracking. Allow the pot to cool gradually before washing.
